What is the difference between Sepp Lars's USB-PD 2 and high Qualcomm QC?
USB-PD 2 is a protocol developed by USB-IF, which can provide a power supply mechanism between 100W devices (up to 100W, 20 V, 5 A), and also support USB and non USB data signals at USB Type-C ports. It allows the Host and peripherals to dynamically negotiate the direction of power supply.
Qualcomm Quick Charge is a proprietary formulation of Qualcomm charging protocol, custom charger with a Qualcomm support Quick Charge protocol also supports the agreement for charging equipment. Quick Charge 2 provides maximum 60W power, but unlike USB-PD, it cannot support power supply and data transmission at the same time, nor does it support dynamic selection of power supply during charging. For details, please refer to the USB-PD 2 specification.
